FCP

A flat classroom is when your class interacts with another class across the world.
Students gain a deeper understanding of technology. They get to learn and express their trends with a differerent culture. They will be assessed on a common rubric. They will experience interdependance. Finally the students will participate in a virtual summit.
FCP Timeline:
Application Deadline: December 1 (previous calendar year). Online Teacher Information meeting before January 15. Classroom and student handshake January 15-31. Wiki editing and collaboration: February. Non-participating classrooms removed from participating: February 15. Video pitches and creation: March. Student Summits and video judging: April 1-15. Awards ceremony: After April 15 as determined by the project organiser.

10-1 First Place Winner. The Journey
This video is about how people donated money for Haiti. It says that ordinary people were helping save Haiti. The whole video was not very good, and it was really wierd. The music seemed a little misplaced, and I am surprised this got first place.

10-2 First Place Winner. Google for students.
This video is about great google is. It pretty much shows how google makes everything easy. I thought this video was actually good. It was much better than the first one.

09-2 First Place Winner. Uploading.
This video was about uploading. It basically just explained that messages can be sent much faster through uploading. The video was not that good. I think it could have been much better.
